Champagne Soirée
An event took place at the Darkroom Brewery in Geneva, Ohio. It was held on the Winter Solstice featuring 11 sparkling wines from around the world, including one Champagne. Geneva is in the heart of the Grand River Valley AVA, so we featured 6 local sparkling wines in the tasting. Light food was provided along with an acoustic guitar playing in the back ground. This event was well received locally with plans to do this again in the future. Possibly a big event on the Summer Solstice?
Chablis Wine Tasting
We featured wines from Cutting Edge Distribution in our January wine tasting event. Featuring one winery from Chablis, from one vintage, 2020. The hope was that we would be able to see the differences and terroir and style from Premier Cru to Grand Cru wines. This was an incredible experience to taste through so many amazing Chablis wines and have an opportunity to talk about the wines in a group setting.
Wine Aromas Class
Describing wines can be challenging for many people. How does a wine professional smell cherries, chocolate and spice in a beverage made from grapes? This is a class I have done several times for groups of people that allows you to understand where the aromas in winemaking come from. It is an interactive class and usually more fun if you make it into a competition!
